Room to Share does not provide legal, financial, taxation or tenancy advice; property management; applicant screening, background or reference checks; applicant selection; or ongoing management of the homeowner-occupant relationship. The homeowner remains responsible for deciding whether the Room to Share model is suitable for their circumstances, publishing their advertisement, assessing and selecting any occupant, carrying out any checks they consider appropriate, managing the ongoing household arrangement and obtaining independent professional advice where required. Room to Share does not guarantee that a room will be occupied, the amount of income a homeowner may receive, the suitability of an occupant or the success or legal characterisation of any particular arrangement.
